Marvin C. Kistler, 83, of Allentown, died Jan. 12, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital.
He and his wife Eleanor R. (Best) Kistler celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.
Born March 7, 1929, in Andreas, he was the son of the late Oscar Kistler and Blanche (Kemmerer) Weirbach.
He was the stepson of the late James Weirbach.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Employed at Mack Trucks Test Center for 30 years before retiring, he also was a former employee of Kuhns & Anthony Paving.
Active in his community, he was a member of the Antique Automotive Club of America, a life member of the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club and Wescosville Fire Company. A friend to all, his interests included hunting, fishing, antiquing and car collecting.
He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Debra Eck of Pemberton, NJ; son, Rodney Kistler and his wife, Becky, of Kempton; grandchildren, Jennifer Mc-Neely, Zachary Kistler; sister, Miriam Fry.
He was predeceased by siblings Allen Kistler, Dorothy Anthony and Katherine Bittner.
