Alfred F. Bauer, 75, of Catasauqua, died Jan. 7, 2013, Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus.

He was the widower of Sarah J. (Reish) Bauer.

Born in Ormrod, he was a son of the late Aloise J. and Marie (Summers) Bauer.

He was a driver for Mail-Mathews Trucking in Glasgow for nine years before retiring in 2002.

He also drove truck for Yencho Trucking in Cunningham, was a mechanic for Loomis Armored Cars and was a race car driver at Dorney Park for many years.

He was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Annunciation Blessed Virgin Mary.

His survivors include a son, Jeffrey, with whom he resided; stepdaughters Kim T. Roth of Allentown, Faith A. Brown of Waynesboro, Marci J. Reinert of New Tripoli; sisters Amilia Kokolus of Ballietsville and Hilda Blose of Egypt; three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Dale, and sister Teresa Stumpf.
