Swimmers split with Allen

The Whitehall swim team split against Allen. The girls rolled to a 117-53 victory while the boys fell 89-78.

The girls won all but one event in their meet and didn't have a multiple winner as eight different girls took home victories as well as all three relay teams.

Rachel Cuti won the 200 free in 2:21.35, Vicky Ceasar took the 200 IM in 2:42.89 and Melissa Holihan won the 50 free in 27.60. Maireed Doyle won the 100 fly in 1:09.15, Allison Emick touched first in the 100 free in 1:00.91 and Emily Bryk took first in the 500 free with a time of 6:21.67. Brooke Gilson captured the 100 back in 1:08.92 and Alexus Merkert won the 100 breast in 1:15.82.

Madison Lyle, Jess Marselles, Merkert and Gilson teammed up to win the medley relay in 2:09.65. Gilson, Sarah Wagner, Merkert and Grace Sulliva took the 200 free relay in 1:51.46 and Kailyn Beil, Gilson, Marselles and Merkert was the winning combo in the 400 free relay in 4:16.76.

The boys got double victories from Jonathan Boyd and Jason Dziedzic but it wasn't enough to get by Allen.

Boyd won the 200 IM in 2:21.79 and the 100 breast in 1:12.60. Dziedzic took the 50 free in 25.18 and the 500 free in 5:46.71.

Two Whitehall relay teams were victorious. Felix Figueroa, Boyd, Rudy Romanyshyn and Dziedzic won the medley relay in 1:56.68 while Alexis Anatalio, Dziedzic, Michael Haggerty and Anthony Fragnito won the 400 free relay in 4:22.57.
