Daniel L. Herrlinger
Daniel L. Herrlinger, 52, of New Tripoli, died Dec. 31, 2012, in his home, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He and his wife Justine A. (Hartman) Herrlinger celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary June 20, 2012.
Born Dec. 27, 1960, in Sellersville, he was the son of Shirley Schwager of Red Hill and John Herrlinger and his wife, Mae, of Perkasie.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during a peacetime era.
He was a heavy equipment operator for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for the last 10 years.
Prior to that, he worked for the former Wolff/SMD Petroleum Co. for many years.
He also was a part-time bus driver for Bieber Tourways.
He was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Heidelberg Township, and a former volunteer at Northwestern Ambulance Corps, New Tripoli.
He will be always remembered for his great sense of humor, his ability to make people laugh and his unsolicited opinions.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by children, Stephanie A. Quier and her husband, Christopher, of Hamburg, Daniel L. II and his wife, Candace, of Alburtis, Holly L. Rainey and her husband, Michael, of Slatington; brother John Jr. of Michigan; sister Debbie Spear of Quakertown; granddaughter Ella; several nieces and nephews.
