911 hang-up calls

Two hang-up calls on Dec. 24 when 911 was dialed brought police to a South Second Street home and another unidentified residence.

In one incident it was a misdial and in the separate case, it was a child playing with the phone.

Cooking sets off alarm

A report of a fire alarm on Dec. 25 brought police to an apartment at 10 N. Front St. Police said the alarm was set off by cooking.

The borough fire department responded and handled the situation accordingly.

Items taken from garage

Borough police were summoned Dec. 25 to the unit block of Magna Drive for a reported burglary.

Donald Ruth said someone overnight entered his garage and removed a snow blower, jump starter, power washer, compressor and assorted meats.

The value of the stolen items was approximately $2,000. Police have no suspects.
