Fern I. Hassler
Fern I. Hassler, 85, of Whitehall, died Dec. 27, 2012, in her home.
She and her late husband Harold E. Hassler shared 45 years of marriage until his passing in 1998.
Born Feb. 5, 1927, in North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Pearl L. (Wotring) Good.
A cashier at the former Pantry Pride, Allentown, for 34 years, she retired in 1979.
She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.
Her survivors include daughters Robbyn L. Seier and her husband, Jeffrey, of Northampton, Beth A. Cherry and her husband, Paul, of Bath; stepdaughters, Sandra L. Hassler-Cox and her husband, William, of East Earl, Linda S. Leonard and her husband, Jeffery, of Texas; sisters Alice M. Stephen of Schnecksville, Shirley A. Levan and her husband, Dale, of Allentown, Kathleen J. Schaffer of Whitehall; grandchildren Jessica and Emily Seier, Sarah and Charlotte Cherry; step-granddaughter Brenna Hassler.
She was predeceased by siblings Grace A. Wall, Jean M. Christman and Clifford R. and Lee T. Good.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Jan. 3, at Union UCC, 5550 Route 873, Neffs, with the Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday in the church.
Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
