May Barto, 88, of Emmaus, died December 28, 2012, in LifeQuest Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Wayne W. Barto. Born in Salisbury Township, she was the daughter of the late Morris T. and Eliza G. (Heimbach) Eck.

She was a secretary for Emmaus High School and later did clerical work for Rodale Press.

She was a member of St. John's U.C.C., Emmaus where she served on the altar guild.

She was a member and past president of Emmaus Senior Citizens, a member of the Emmaus Historical Society and was an avid bowler in several bowling leagues in the area.

She is survived by a son, Barry W. and his wife Donna of Emmaus; daughter, Bonnie M. and her husband Robert Burdette of Emmaus; grandsons, Brian and his wife Allison, Brett Barto and Kimberly Scola, Jason Burdette and his wife Ashley and Bradley Burdette and his wife Kristen. She was predeceased by brothers, Harvey and LeRoy Eck.
