·American Cancer Society, Bethlehem needs volunteers to join planning committees to help make each and every Relay for Life in the Lehigh Valley a huge success. If you are creative, a great leader, a great fundraiser or passionate about ending cancer, we have a position for you. Hours vary and we can work with most schedules. All necessary training will be provided.

·Camp Compass Academy, Allentown, has a chance to exhibit its latest youth campaign called "2 Million Bullets" at the Eastern Sports Show, Harrisburg, Feb. 2-10, 2013. They are looking for help, especially weekdays in their booth. Two shifts each day from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and 2-7 p.m. need to be staffed. Volunteers would be encouraging attendees to learn more about Orange Ribbon Campaign for youth. Sales, marketing, hunting and fishing knowledge a plus, but not necessary. ·Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley, Bethlehem, is seeking community members to become certified tax preparation volunteers through the IRS supported Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, as well as other volunteers to assist with hospitality functions at free tax sites in Lehigh County. This is an on-going opportunity Jan. 20, 2013 through April 2013 at five locations with evening and weekend times available. An info session will be held Jan. 5, 2013.

·Community Bike Works, Allentown, needs Earn-a-Bike Instructors for children ages 9 through 17. Volunteers will mentor and assist children in repairing bicycles. No experience necessary. Commitment is 6-8 p.m. one week night for 12 weeks. Teaching and communication skills are needed.

·Family Connection of Easton, Inc. is looking for committed and passionate individuals to serve on their board of directors. Board members serve two-year renewable terms. Board members are asked to attend meetings every three months, participate in at least one committee and in special events, serve as an ambassador of the organization, and attend a yearly retreat. An orientation, ongoing support, and information are offered.

Strive Inc., Allentown, needs coaches now. They are looking for volunteers who have a desire to work with Lehigh Valley youth to help them excel academically, socially and professionally. Coaches are needed for four hours per month to provide coaching services for students during school year from October through June. All volunteers must have child abuse clearances and criminal background Checks.
