Jennie M. Shellhammer, 92, of Allentown, died Dec. 19, 2012, in Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown.

She was the wife of the late Ralph F. Shellhammer.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Annie (Wilt) Smith.

Before retiring in 1987, she was a cook at Cetronia Elementary School for 36 years.

Along with her enjoyment of cooking, she liked to travel and cheer on the Phillies.

She was a member of Cedar United Church of Christ, South Whitehall.

Her survivors include sons, Gary R. and his wife Phyllis of Allentown, Randy S. and his wife Victoria of Mertztown, daughter Gail A. Christman of Allentown; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, George.
