Clyde E. Buchman Jr., 86, of Macungie, died on Dec. 21, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown.

He was the husband of Grace L. (Hopkins) Buchman of Macungie.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Clyde E. Sr. and Sarah (Leiser) Buchman.

He was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church, formerly in Allentown, where he served on the building committee when the church was built on Springhouse Road, South Whitehall.

He worked for 43 years for Ingersol Rand in Allentown, first as a machinist before retiring from the office and supply department.

Most recently he worked for Lighting Fixture and Supply, Allentown, for 11 years.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Barbara, and her husband Robert Reighard, of Fogelsville, Dianne, and her husband Owen Maguire; son William and his wife, Linda; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Ralph.

A memorial service will take place 2 p.m. on Dec. 28, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, South Whitehall. There will be a calling period 1-2 p.m. Friday at the church.
