Sandra A. "Sandy" Bors, of Emmaus, died December 22, 2012. She was the wife of Frank Bors Sr. for 49 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Marvin "Mal" and Lillian C. (Eckert) Lowe.

She was in the first graduating class of Dieruff High School in 1960. An accounting student, she worked for Air Products Inc., Trexlertown, as a cost analyst for 10 years, a bookkeeper for J & J Floor Maintenance for 10 years and was president and co-owner with her husband of Bors Motors Inc. for 25 years.

She was a former volunteer for the former Allentown Hospital.

She was a lifetime member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, where she was a published writer for the church newspaper. Under the byline "Reflection," she wrote 14 short stories.

She was a former elected officer of the Upper Milford Township, Eastern District, Election Board, for over 30 years.

Her favorite things besides being with her grandchildren were playing the organ, emailing on the computer, meeting friends for dinner and going to the movies every Tuesday night with her husband. She was an avid Phillies fan for over 40 years.

She is survived by her husband; son, Frank J. Jr. and his wife Jessica M. (Schmehl); grandchildren, Trent, Brandon and Grace Lillian, all of Alburtis; best friend and sister, Dorothy L. and her husband Leonard S. Warmkessel of Emmaus; sister-in-law, Catherine Koch of Hazleton; brother-in-law, Joseph E. and his wife Victoria of Glen Burnie, Md.; aunt, Louise Taylor of Charleston, S.C., other family members and numerous friends. She was predeceased by a daughter, Kerri Ann and brothers, Robert and Richard.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
