Clyde E. Buchman Jr., 86, of Macungie, died December 21, 2012, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Grace L. (Hopkins) Buchman of Macungie. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Clyde E. Sr. and Sarah (Leiser) Buchman.

He was a long-time member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Allentown, where he served on the Asbury Building Committee when the church was built on Springhouse Road.

He worked for 43 years for Ingersol Rand in Allentown, first as a machinist and retiring from the office and supply department. Most recently he worked for Lighting Fixture and Supply in Allentown for 11 years.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Barbara and her husband Robert Reighard, of Fogelsville, Dianne and her husband Owen Maguire; son, William and his wife, Linda; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ralph.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 28, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown. There will be a calling period 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church.
