Six Lehigh Valley-based filmmakers were honored with awards for their work during the second-annual Greater Lehigh Valley Filmmaker Festival (GLVFF), which took place Nov. 2 - 4 at the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas at SteelStacks. The awards were presented Nov. 4 at the conclusion of the festival, which featured more than 25 different shorts and feature films produced by filmmakers from throughout the region.

The 2012 GLVFF award winners are:

Best Feature: "Wallowitch & Ross: This Moment," Richard Morris, Bethlehem

Best Short (15 - 50 min.): "Doorman," Collin Kornfeind, Slatington

Best Short (less than 15 min.): "Please Kill Me Again," Spencer Snygg, Allentown

Best Web Series: "The Flighty Ducks," Dan Maher, Bethlehem

Honorable Mention (by the Jury): "A Cure," Matthew Herbertz, Center Valley

Audience Award: "The Super List," Adam Winston, Macungie

The 2012 GLVFF was juried by Courtney Eady, Ben Hickernell, Gershon Hinkson, Ann Knerr and Michael Kramp. Submitted films were pre-screened by the ArtsQuest Cinema Committee and ArtsQuest Cinema staff, who then selected the films for the festival and put select titles in competition. The jury screened all festival films for the first time at the festival and collaboratively selected the award winners. The GLVFF Audience Award was presented to the film with the highest average score based on 2012 GLVFF audience voting only.
