Mary-anne E. (Thursland) Larkin, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and beloved teacher, died Dec. 14, 2012, in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown.

Born in Far Rockaway, N.Y., she lived in Long Beach and Oceanside, N.Y. most of her life before moving to the Lehigh Valley in 1998.

She earned a Master's degree in English and secondary education from Hofstra University and taught in Catholic schools on Long Island and in the Lehigh Valley for many years.

In recent years, she was a teacher at a day care center in Schnecksville.

In addition to her husband of 40 years, Michael, she is survived by children Brian, Erin and Christine; grandchildren Zachary and Breanna; one sister, four brothers and her father.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Dec. 20, at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 4456 Main St. (Egypt), Whitehall, with the Rev. Msgr. Daniel J. Yenushosky as celebrant.

Interment will follow the service at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
