Homer A. Snyder, 91, formerly of Kempton, died Dec. 15, 2012, in the ManorCare Nursing Home, Allentown.

He was predeceased by his wife Lovie V. (Bailey) Snyder in 1983.

Born in Lynn Township, he was a son of the late Albert and Mary (Derr) Snyder.

He was a self-employed painter in the Lehigh Valley for many years until retiring in 1991.

He is survived by sons, Glenn C. and his wife Elizabeth, of Kempton, Alton S. of Virginville, Randall H. of New Tripoli; daughters, Betty L. Brocious of Germansville, Ruth A. Landis of Kutztown; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was also predeceased by brothers, Paul, Fred, Milton, Irwin and Charles; and sisters Esther Bleiler and Minnie Oldt.

Arrangements were made by Nester Funeral Home, Jacksonville, Lynn Township.
