Rain didn't stop the Girl Scouts in the River's Edge Service unit from delivering Christmas music to the residents of Coplay in exchange for nonperishable food donations for the Coplay Food Bank Dec. 9. Daisy, Brownie, Junior and Cadette troops from both the Catasauqua and Whitehall area equally divided the Coplay streets on foot, carrying bags and pulling wagons which they hoped to have filled with donations by the end of the day. After they were done caroling they were treated to cookies and hot chocolate and a visit from Santa at Trinity United Church of Christ in Coplay. Before the event, flyers were distributed to the Coplay neighborhood informing residents of the caroling event.
