Thomas S. Schmoyer, 81, of Emmaus, died December 14, 2012, in Mosser Nursing Home. He was the husband of Viola B. (Hilbert) Schmoyer. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mary (Schaeffer) Schmoyer.

He was a mechanic for various auto dealers until retiring.

He served in the Seabees during the Korean War and was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1067 of Emmaus.

He was a volunteer firefighter and life member of Emmaus Fire Co. #1 and also a member of Citizens Fire Co. #2 in Emmaus.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Randall J. and his wife, Susan, of Alburtis, and Clarence F. and his wife, Karen, of Slatington; daughter, Tina M. of Emmaus and her fiance, David B. Hemphill; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Susan and grandchildren, Lori Hoch and Andrew Bailey.

Arrangements were made by the Schmoyer Funeral Home, Breinigsville.
