Elda L. Benner, 86, formerly of Richlandtown, Quakertown, and Macungie, died December 11, 2012, at Cedarbrook, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Carroll F. Benner, who died in 1999. Born in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Marion Nuss.

She was employed by the superintendent's office of Quakertown Community School District for over 25 years and formerly worked as a secretary at PPL in the 1940s.

She was a member of Faith UCC in Center Valley, and a volunteer at the Lower Macungie Senior Citizens Center.

She enjoyed gardening and interior decorating.

She is survived by a son, Terry and his wife Catherine of Emmaus; grandson, Adam, of Emmaus; sister, Dorothy and her husband Richard Specht, of Pennsburg; brother, Robert Nuss and his wife Hedda of Madison Township.
