Louise K. Murphy, 72, of Whitehall, died Nov. 24, 2012, in Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of James A. Murphy for 53 years.

Born in Lehigh Furnace, she was a daughter of the late Leroy and Katie (Schmick) Neff.

She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Marvin L. and his wife Karen of Whitehall; a daughter, Denise A. and her husband Curtis Dorwart of Lexington, N.C.; three grandchildren, Megan, Melanie and Brett; two sisters, Dorothy Reph of Walnutport and Marlene and her husband Thurman DeWalt of Slatington; and two brothers, Clark and his wife Barbara Neff of Slatington and Leroy and his wife Patricia Neff of Palmerton.

Contributions may be made to the church, the American Heart Association or to a pet shelter of one's choice.
