James T. Stengel, 78, of Upper Macungie Township, died Dec. 8, 2012.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of Shirley Peters Semonis.

He was the husband to Barbara Peste Stengel.

He retired from Mack Trucks and the City of Allentown.

A member of Mercantile Club of Emmaus and Izaak Walton Rod and Gun Club, he died doing what he loved most, hunting.

He played softball for many years for the Patriots ball club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Michael, and daughter-in-law Vicki; two most cherished grandchildren Tanner and McKenna; sister Gloria Jezick; and most beloved companion Furby.

Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. followed by the service 10 a.m. Dec. 13 at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 W. Hamilton St., Allentown.
