Alice Kline, 87, formerly of North Whitehall Township, died Dec. 10, 2012.

She was the wife of the late Irvin H. Kline.

Born Nov. 9, 1925, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Alec and Susan (Meashock) Gorsky.

She will be remembered for her tireless work with the Special Olympics and as an advocate for many programs that improved the quality of life for the mentally challenged.

Her survivors include daughters, Allene Kline-Czerniak of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Judith M. Kline of Allentown; sons, Dennis E. Kline of Macungie, Anthony L. Kline of Allentown; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Jacqueline A. Kromhout.

A private graveside service will be held. There will be no calling hours.
