Harold "Tex" Gaal, 84, of Emmaus, died Dec. 6, 2012, in Lehigh Center. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Neubauer) Gaal.

He worked as a maintenance man for Air Products for 33 years, retiring in 1987.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus.

He was a member of Emmaus Lodge #792 F&AM, Valley of Allentown Consistory, Rajah Shrine, Hillbillies, and the Lehigh Shrine Club.

He was a life member of Emmaus Fire Company #1 and #2, Fearless Fire Company, Emmaus VFW, the Mercantile Club of Emmaus, and the former Emmaus Nest of Owls.

He is survived by a sister, Martha T. Gerhart of Emmaus; nieces, Kathryn Getchell and Mary Gaal; nephews, Carl and Michael Barndt; great niece, Emily; great-great nieces, Kylie and Vera. He was predeceased by siblings, Hilda, Ella, Margaret, Helen, John, Walter, Richard and Raymond.
