David J. Fried, 41, of Lower Macungie Township, died December 6, 2012. He was the husband of Jennifer (Zentz) Fried. They were married for 11 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of John Fried and Elizabeth Becker.

He was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1989. He received a bachelor's degree in nursing at Temple University and a master of science in nursing anesthesia from St. Joseph's University. He was employed as a certified registered nurse anesthesia at St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown.

He enjoyed playing the guitar, bicycling, reading, golfing, snow skiing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife; parents; daughters, Haley and Morgan; sister, Laura Marcinczyk; brother, John; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Marilyn Zenta; 17 nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made to Jennifer Fried, c/o the funeral home. All proceeds will go toward the educational funds for Haley and Morgan.
