Joan Nahrgang, 85, of Schnecksville, died Dec. 3, 2012, in Country Meadows of Allentown.

She was the wife of the late Charles A. Nahrgang Jr.

Born March 12, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen (Haskell) Carnes.

A graduate of Drexel University, Philadelphia, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in home economics.

She was a home economics teacher in the East Penn School District for 10 years before retiring in 1992.

She was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church, Trexlertown.

Her survivors include children Charles A. III and Nancy A., both of Schnecksville.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Dec. 6, in St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 6667 Lower Macungie Road, Trexlertown, with the Rev. Canon Michael F. Piovane Ed.D. and the Rev. Judith U. Snyder officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 9-10 a.m. Thursday in the church.

Interment will follow the service at George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting.
