Dylan Lee Roth

Dylan Lee Roth, 20, died Dec. 3, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family, Mom, Dad, Taylor and Cali, the family pet.

Born Nov. 9, 1992, in Allentown, he was a son of Terry Lee Roth and Lisa Ann (Larish) Roth of Germansville.

He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown.

An accomplished student at Northwestern Lehigh High School, he actively played basketball for four years and surrounded himself with teammates and friends who enjoyed his enthusiasm and compassion.

After graduating from high school in 2011, he attended Bloomsburg College as a full-time student, with a major in history and a minor in political science.

During his sophomore year, he lost his courageous battle with cancer that lasted 2-1/2 years.

His lifetime dream of attending college was taken from him on this cool December morning, but his strength and determination will always remain in the hearts of his loving family and supportive friends.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Taylor Lynn, at home; grandparents Richard Larish and his wife Gloria, Frederick Roth and his wife Mary Ann, all of Salisbury Township; great-grandparents Roland Bellesfield and his wife Verna of New Tripoli; aunts; uncles; cousins; and his favorite dog, Cali.

A Celebration of Life service will take place noon Dec. 7, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 729 St. John St., Allentown, with the Rev. Suzanne Trump officiating.

Call 10 a.m.-noon Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family c/o the funeral home, to be distributed to a number of organizations that helped him through his journey.
