Santa Claus will be on a sleigh, accompanied by Mrs. Claus, Sunday when Coplay Sports Inc. holds its annual Christmas parade.

Several clowns will be part of the caravan, along with a borough fire engine. The parade will wind its way through every street in the borough. Fox Hollow in North Coplay is on the itinerary.

The parade starts out at South Front Street and travels street by street until reaching Echo Manor and Parkway West several hours later. Holiday music will draw children outside, where they will be given small bags of treats.

Parents who want Santa to deliver a present are asked to wrap it and include the child's name and address. The presents should be put into a paper shopping bag. The drop off for the presents is 6-8 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 7, at the Coplay Sports Fieldhouse and Saturday, Dec. 8, at 10 a.m.

Coplay Fire Department will be the site for a visit from Santa Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

Parents are asked to bring a camera to take their own photos. Each boy and girl visiting Santa will be given a small gift.

The fire department, located on Cherry Street, will have yule wreaths and Pointsettias for sale.

The borough is compiling a list of names of people willing to shovel snow from sidewalks of residents across the town. People wanting their walks shoveled when snow falls are also asked to provide the borough with their names, addresses and phone numbers.

The fee arrangements are between the residents and the youths who provide the shoveling.

Coplay Public Library is getting into the holiday spirit.

The library, located at Fifth and Center streets, will have a Christmas program on Saturday, Dec.15, starting at 1:30 p.m.

It will feature Christmas music, a Christmas story time and a surprise visitor said to have a white beard and come wearing a red suit.

Refreshments and decorating cupcakes are part of the program.
