Joan (Carnes) Nahrgang, 85, of Schnecksville, died December 3, 2012, at Country Meadows, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Charles A. Nahrgang Jr. Born in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen (Haskell) Carnes.

A graduate of Drexel University, Philadelphia, with a Bachelor of Arts in home economics, she was employed as a home economics teacher in the East Penn School District for 10 years, retiring in 1992.

She was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church, Trexlertown.

She is survived by a son, Charles A. III and daughter, Nancy A., both of Schnecksville.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 6667 Lower Macungie Rd., Trexlertown. Family and friends may pay their respects 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday in the church.
