Douglas L. Washburn, 67, of Emmaus, died November 28, 2012. He was the husband of Bonnie (Cooke) Washburn for the past 48 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late George and Margaret (Suter) Washburn.

He was employed at Schiller & Pheiffer for the past 16 years and at Iobst Sunoco in Emmaus for the past 41 years. He previously worked at Caloric Corp. in Topton for 26 years until it closed.

He enjoyed car cruises, talking to people and making friends, oldies music, stock car races, and he was especially proud of his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife; children, Michelle and her husband Tom Capehart, and Scott, all of Emmaus; siblings, Robert, Roger, George, Georgine and Mary Ann Berhel; two grandchildren, Matthew and Laura; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Fred.
