Dolores J. Knecht, 82, of Salisbury Township, died November 23, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Erwin L. Knecht in 1999 and the late Paul J.A. Sterner Sr. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth C. and Gladys A. (David) Lease.

She was a lifetime member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Allentown, where she sang with the choir, served on the church council, and was a member of the Christian Crafters. The church social hall was named for Dolly's "chow chow," where it was sold at church functions to help support the church.

She retired in 1988 from Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall Township after 20 years as a licensed practical nurse. Prior to that, she was a nurses' aide at Cedarbrook.

She is survived by daughters, Jeannette and her husband Paul Kiser of Oswegatchie, N.Y., Barbara and her husband Jim Jacoby of Breinigsville; Paul Sterner Jr. and his wife Linda of Bethlehem; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two and 1/3 great-great-grandchildren; companion, Walter Newman.
