Daniel F. Quier, 66, of Emmaus, died November 21, 2012, at his home. He was the husband of Donna M. (Shumack) Quier. They were married for 38 years last August 24. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Frederick and Helen (Carom) Quier.

He served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War.

He worked as a conductor for Conrail prior to retiring in 1999.

He is survived by a daughter, Buffy, of Emmaus; son, Daniel F. Jr., of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; stepdaughter, Tina Freed, of Denver, Colo.; sister, Linda, of Allentown; brothers, Tyrone, of Tampa, Fla., David, of Allentown; three grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by the Boyko Funeral Home, Allentown.
