Dec. 6
Allentown AARP Chapter #5415 will meet noon at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 140 South Ott Street, Allentown. They will hold their annual membership recognition luncheon and the program will be led by Singer Claude Shappell. A business meeting will follow the program. Attendees are asked to bring a nonperishable item for the food bank.
Lower Macungie AARP Chapter 4150 will meet noon in the community room of the Lower Macungie Library Building. The meeting features the entertainment of KALEIDOSCOPE.
Dec. 7
Toast the Holidays open house returns to Emmaus 5 to 8:30 p.m. Local businesses will offer sales and discounts while serving wine, cheese and other refreshments. Christmas carolers, including the professional Victorian singing group the Candlelight Carolers, will stroll through the town to entertain. Participating merchants will accept gently used coats to be donated to victims of Hurricane Sandy. Coats can also be dropped off at any Lehigh Valley KNBT Bank branch between now and Jan. 7, 2013.
Dec. 8
The Macungie Holiday family celebration will take place 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. throughout the borough. A free holiday trolley will be traveling to all locations including Macungie Park, Kalmbach Park, the Macungie Institute, Macungie Fire Department and local churches. Hosfeld Insurance, LLC, 19 East Main St., Macungie, is holding a hat drive to help keep kids with cancer warm this season. They will be accepting new, handmade or store-bought hats at their open house or anytime 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. They are inviting members of the community to donate. The hats will be donated to the pediatric oncology unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg.
Kutztown's Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center will host "Christmas on the Farm" 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature folk-life demonstrations, traditional crafters, children's activities and more. There will also be cookies and cider by a warming bonfire.
Old Zionsville UCC Church, 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville, will host their annual cookie walk 8 a.m. to noon. Homemade Christmas cookies and candy will be sold by the pound. For more information, call 610-966-5115 or 610-966-5220.
Lower Milford Fire Company No. 1, 1601 Limeport Pike, Coopersburg, will host their annual children's Christmas party 3 to 5 p.m. Santa will be in attendance with Sandy and Andy puppeteers. Call 610-965-5166 for more information.
Dec. 9
Huff's Church, Hereford Township, will hold a country Christmas open house 3 to 6 p.m. Visitors can enjoy live music as they walk through the church to view the holiday decorations. Guests are welcome to dress up to take a family photo in front of a Nativity scene. All ages can enjoy a Christmas decoration scavenger hunt.
The Wescosville Fire Co. Social Hall, 958 Brookside Road, Wescosville, will host a craft vendor holiday shop for Madison 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be many vendors, crafters, Chinese auction and bake sale. All proceeds will go to the Madison Arnold Leukemia Fund to help pay for chemotherapy for the four-year-old girl diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Dec. 15
Old Zionsville UCC Church, 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville, will host a bake sale and an all you can eat breakfast 7 to 11 a.m. There will be a cost for guests six and over. The public is welcome to attend.
