Janet M. Costello, 64, of Schnecksville, died on Nov. 21, 2012, in the home of her son, Todd D. Costello of Schnecksville.

She was the wife of the late Daniel J. Costello.

Born Jan. 31, 1948, in North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Elvin A. and LaRue H. (Kern) Wotring.

A graduate of Allentown Beauty School, she formerly owned and operated a beauty shop in Schnecksville.

She later worked as a nursing assistant at Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown, before retiring.

She was member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

In addition to her son, Todd D. and his wife, Jennifer, of Schnecksville, she is survived by a granddaughter Ashley L. Scanlan and her husband, Nicholas, of Orefield; and beloved aunt, Betty E. Kern, of Schnecksville.
