Linda L. Lieberman, 66, of Lower Macungie Township, died November 18, 2012, after a three-year battle with Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS). She was the wife of Ira Lieberman. They were married for 43 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Lt. Col. Gerald W. and Betty J. (Griffith) Geist.

She graduated from Mansfield University and obtained her master's equivalency through studies at Kutztown and Penn State Universities.

She taught home economics at various local schools until retiring from Nazareth High School in 2002.

She was a member of Congregation Keneseth Israel, Allentown.

She was an active member of the Emmaus Women's Club, where she held various offices, including president.

She served two terms as president of the Jaycee Wives of Allentown.

She was an avid bridge player, achieving a Junior Masters status.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Marc and his wife Jennifer of Herndon, Va., Scott and his wife Andrea of Annandale, Va.; five grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Giacomini of Chester County, Susan Layne of Media.
