Betty L. Rader, 90, of Allentown, died November 13, 2012, at LutherCrest. She was the wife of the late Wilbur A. Rader. She was a homemaker. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Fred J. and Eva Louisa (German) Newhard.

She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pennsburg. She was involved with her church as a volunteer, soloist with the choir and Sunday school teacher. Previously, she was a bookkeeper with Branch Motors, Allentown after graduating from the Allentown Business School with an associate degree.

She is survived by daughters Eileen Speck, of Allentown, Elizabeth Kupp, of Boalsburg, and Janet Rader-Burton, of New Tripoli; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Papp, of Allentown and Kathryn Schall, of Mechanicsburg; brother, Fred Newhard, of Waterville, Maine.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at LutherCrest's Crest Hall, 800 Hausman Road, Allentown. Arrangements were made by the Auer Cremation Services of PA., Inc.
