Gertrude L. Koplin, 92, of Limeport Pike, Zionsville, died November 12, 2012. She was the wife of the late Jack R. Koplin for 41 years. Born in St. Polten, Austria, she came to the United States following her marriage in 1946.

She enjoyed sharing interesting stories about her childhood in Austria and her many experiences during World War II.

She loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Throughout her life she found such pleasure in the simple beauty of nature.

She is survived by children, Barbara and her husband Roy C. Wentz Jr., Dale and his wife Ellen, Nancy and her husband Sean C. McGowan, Cathy and her husband Robert T. Jones III, Peter and his wife Kristi K.; grandchildren, Elizabeth Zavos, Michael Wentz, Rebekah Davis, Tyler McGowan, Alexander Koplin, Natalie Jones and Robert Jones IV; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Jordan, and Gavin Davis; other family, two beloved nieces and their families in Austria.
