Ruth E. Bleiler, 92, from New Tripoli, died Nov. 11, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

She was the wife of the late Alfred C. Bleiler.

Born April 12, 1920, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late George J. and Adah J. (Bachman) Bausch.

She graduated from Slatington High School, and later from Cedar Crest College.

A home economics teacher at Slatington High School, she later was a substitute teacher at Northwestern High School, New Tripoli.

She was a former 4-H leader and an active member of the United Church of Christ congregation of St. Peter's Union Church, Lynnville, where she served as a former choir member and Sunday School teacher.

She also was a charter member of the Ontelaunee Lioness Club, New Tripoli.

Her survivors include a daughter Judith A. , wife of Sterling M. Ritter, and a son, Richard A. Bleiler and his wife, Bonita L. , all of New Tripoli; grandchildren Kelly Matulevich, Karin Bowman, Seth Bleiler, Christian Bleiler and Elizabeth Paris; and great-grandchildren Lauren, Aubrey, Evan, Shawn, Trevor and Darren.

Her funeral service will by 11 a.m. Nov. 15, in St. Peter's Union Church, 5129 Shochary Road, Lynn-ville, Pa. 18066, with Pastor Carol L. Ivey officiating.

Calling hours preceed the service beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Intertment will be in the adjoining cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory, may be made to the church, 5129 Shochary Road, Lynnville, PA 18066.
