Robert J. Nagle, 77, of Alsace Township, died Oct. 29, 2012, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center with his wife of 54 years, Doris, by his side.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Lemoine and Ruth (Bittner) Nagle.
A teacher and coach at Oley Valley High School from 1957-63, he also worked for the state Department of Health, Greyhound Food Management Inc. and ARA Services.
After he retired in 1987, he taught himself to turn wood on a lathe and was a juried member of the Reading-Berks Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen and member of Keystone Turners.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Candace and Cheryl; grandsons Riley and Brody Cargen; son-in-law Jim Cargen; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Cyndi Cargen; and sisters Grace Fetherolf, Doris Ross and Esther Wanamaker.
