The moms of Catasauqua played a game of flag football against the moms of Hokey in the Second Annual Football for the Cure Powder Puff Game.
The game was held at the Hokey Field in Whitehall on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 27 with a kickoff time of 2 p.m. There were 29 players who filled the Catasauqua roster, while Hokey secured 18 players combined for their offense and defense. Both teams joined together to raise more than $1,000 for the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Foundation.
In front of a large crowd on both sides of the field, the game was played under cloudy skies and a cool breeze. The ball was traded back and forth between Catty and Hokey for much of the first half of the game. However Hokey, with some quick spirited moms scored two touchdowns to come away with the win, beating Catty by a score of 14–0.
