Woman assaulted
Coplay Police on Monday reported an investigation has begun into an alleged assault of a woman.
A Bethlehem resident told police she was at the Gin Mill, Northampton, with other persons following a wedding. She and others then car pooled to an address in the unit block of South Second Street, police said.
On arriving at the address, the woman said, one of the women in the vehicle began pulling her hair, police said.
The woman told police she does not know the name of her assailant.
Fire reported
Police responded to a report of a fire shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday at 11 N. Front St.
Police reported after a search of the premises, no fire was found.
The borough fire department responded and handled the situation accordingly, police said.
Hit-and-run reported
Coplay Police on Nov. 6 were called to the 100 block of North Front Street for a report of a hit-and-run crash.
Police reported on arriving at the scene they found two vehicles with damage.
The vehicles include a 2001 Pontiac belonging to Erin Gruver of North Front Street and a 2004 Cadillac DeVille registered to Desiree Yost of Northampton, police said.
Residents in the area said they heard a disturbance that evening, but no one reported witnessing anything out of the ordinary, police said.
