Alice Laura French

Alice Laura French, 91, formerly of Mill Road, Schnecksville, died peacefully, Nov. 8, 2012, at Frederick Living, Montgomery County.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Lyndon and Jean Ury (Trimmer) Turner.

A 1938 graduate of Wyoming Seminary, she worked at the Wide Awake Book Shop, Kingston, for many years.

After moving to Schnecksville, a place she called home for 51 years, she was a secretary in the Schnecksville and Ironton elementary schools in the Parkland School District.

After her retirement, she enjoyed her time with family and friends.

Her survivors include daughters Linda F., wife of Donald Hall of Northampton, Margaret F., wife of Robert Oberecker of Macungie; son Albert L. and wife, Maria, of Sohwenksville, Montgomery County; grandchildren Matthew, Melissa and Amanda; and great-grandchildren, Clare, Avery, Grace and Ryan.
