Ruth Irene Seip, 94, of Allentown, died November 7, 2012, at Cedarbrook, Allentown. She was the wife of the late William G. Erney and the late Frank F. Phillips.

She was a resident at DevonHouse Senior Living for seven years prior to residing at Cedarbrook. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Ethel Mae (Harper) Seip.

She was a retired dressmaker, an avid reader, enjoyed walking her dogs and doing crossword puzzes.

She was a Phillies enthusiast and a lifelong Phillies baseball fan who enjoyed spring training.

She is survived by sisters, Dorothy L. Spaar and her husband John of Simpsonville, S.C. and Elizabeth D. Hausman of Macungie; brother-in-law, Earl W.D. Hontz of Allentown; four nieces and five nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Betty Jane Seip and Evelyn Hontz; two brothers, Charles D. Seip and George W. Seip Jr.

Contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Hospice in care of the funeral home.

Services will be held Friday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. in the Sell-Herron Funeral Home, 1145 Lehigh St., Allentown. Viewing Friday, 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
