Philip Robert Jacobson, 76, of Emmaus, died October 27, 2012, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was the husband of Avigail Bleiman Jacobson. They celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in March. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Henry and Ida Levy Jacobson.

He as a graduate of Scranton Central High School and the University of Scranton.

He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1956 during the Korean War.

Prior to retirement he was the owner of Equipment Specialist Co., Allentown.

He was a former member of Keneseth Israel Congregation, Allentown and Temple Israel, Scranton. He was a member of B'nai B'rith and numerous civic, religious and charitable organizations.

He is survived by his wife; son, Kirk Alan and his companion, Beverly Dailey, of Breinigsville; daughter, Susan and her husband Lawrence Kempner of Maple Glen; two grandchildren, Danielle and Ryan Kempner; brother, Murray and his wife, Barbara, of Moosic; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Doris and Rabbi Bernard Cohen, of Los Angeles, Calif.; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
