Residents in the 134th Legislative District will remain represented by Ryan Mackenzie in Harrisburg.
Mackenzie defeated John Reynard, his Democratic opponent, in the general election.
Unofficial tallies show Mackenzie outdistanced Reynard with at least 60 percent of the vote in Lehigh and Berks counties.
Mackenzie was first elected April 24, to replace Doug Reichley after he resigned to take a seat as a Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas judge.
Mackenzie defeated Patrick Slattery in the special election to fill Reichley's seat by roughly 60 percent to 40 percent, the same margin as in the general election.
The Republican also won his party's primary in April while Slattery had no opposition on the Democratic side.
The rematch of the special election was eliminated, however, as Slattery withdrew from the race and was replaced by Reynard.
