Forrest L. "Whiskey" Wessner, 77, of Kempton, died Nov. 4, 2012, in Laurel Center, Hamburg, Berks County.
He and his wife Irene M. (Bailey) Wessner celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in September.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Perma G.M. (Heintzelman) Wehr-Christman.
He was raised by his grandmother, the late Annie Heintzelman.
He was a brewery worker for the former Stroh Brewery, Foglesville, for 26 years, before retiring in 1997.
He was a member of Jacob's Church, Jacksonville, Lynn Township.
He was also a life member of the Lynnport Fire Company and its Fire Police Association and a past president of the Kempton Lions Club.
He was also a 1953 graduate of Slatington High School.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Betty Lou Smith of Reading; a son Kean F. of Hellertown; stepbrother Ronald Christman of Orefield; three grandchildren and a great-grandaughter.
He was predeceased by a sister, Fern E. Koch.
Services and interment will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in his memory be made to the Lynnport Fire Company Fire Police, P.O. Box 14, New Tripoli, PA 18066.
