Vernon H. Oswald Sr., "Ossie," 86, of Emmaus, died October 29, 2012, in his home. He was the husband of the late Helen J. (Feist) Oswald, who died Feb. 29, 2012. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Howard E. and Carrie E. (Fegely) Oswald.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus and was a naval veteran serving during World War II.

He was the owner of Ossie's Coin Shop in Allentown and was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Emmaus.

He is survived by children, Linda and her husband Jeff Kemp of Emmaus, Vernon Jr. and his wife Debbie of Florida, and Tami and her husband Phil Laughlin of Macungie; grandchildren, Thomas Reed, Tricia Lee, Cody, Clifford and Cory Erb and Samantha Laughlin; great-grandchildren, Shaina and Sadie Lee; sisters, Leona Smith and Grace Schlichter.
