Robert A. "Freddie" Fritch, 84, of Emmaus, died Nov. 2, 2012, in the Phoebe Home. He was the husband of the late Mary P. (Fegley) Fritch. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Lloyd A. and Erma M. (Acker) Fritch.

He worked as a gauger for Buckeye Pipeline for 28 years, retiring in 1988.

He honorably served his country in the Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean conflict.

He was a member of St. John's U.C.C. and Emmaus VFW Post 7088.

In his retirement, he enjoyed golfing.

He is survived by a daughter, Kathleen and her husband Wayne Geist of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Kerianne, Jason and his wife, Emily; great-grandson, Tyler. He was predeceased by a son, John B..

Viewing 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 9, in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C.. 250 Main St., Emmaus. Private interment will be in Northwood Cemetery.
