Mary C. Marzano

Mary C. Marzano, 95, formerly of Schnecksville, died on Oct. 26, 2012, in Luther Crest, South Whitehall, where she had resided since 1998.

She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Marzano Sr.

Born Nov. 5, 1916, in Maspeth, Long Island, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Gaspare and Santa (Dovi) Messina.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

Her accomplishments and memberships include, chairlady of the former Mahoning Valley Country Club Ladies Golf Committee, member of the Allentown Women's Club, member of the Allentown Symphony Hall, serving as chairlady of the annual ball, past president of the Allentown Opti-Mrs. Club, member of the Parkland Garden Club and former Den Mother of Cub Scout Troop 57, Neffs.

Her survivors include children Joanne M. Lewis of Allentown, Leonard J. and his wife, Carol, of Schnecksville, Joseph L. Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Upper Gwynedd; daughter-in-law Helen M. Marzano of Allentown; siblings Madeline Buttafuoco of Texas, Gloria Donatelli of Florida, Anthony Messina of New York; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Robert F., a grandson, Anthony Marzano, and a brother, Frank Messina.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Nov. 2, at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield. Family and friends may pay their respects between 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday in Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, and 10:15- 11 a.m. Friday in the church.

Interment will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescos-ville.
