Robert P. Grim
Robert P. Grim, 74, from Schnecksville, died Oct. 18, 2012, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with kidney cancer.
He and his wife Judith B. (Piper) Grim were married 53 years last February.
Born in Kempton, he was a son of the late Paul C. and Edna L. (Wert) Grim.
He was a stone cutter for Wenz Memorials for several years and then was a truck jockey for Alpo for 27 years, before retiring in 1988.
After retiring, he started his own business, Grim's Landscaping, in Schnecksville.
He was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church, Orefield, where he served as an usher.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah, wife of Don Yurconic, of Chesterton, Ind.; sons Robert of New Ringgold, Jason of New Tripoli, sisters Dorothy, widow of Clifford Beitler of Fogelsville, Mildred, wife of Warren Newhard of Schnecksville, Helen, widow of Paul Wessner of Lenhartsville, Ruth Billig and companion Evan Saltzer of Orefield, Shirley, wife of Donald Horning of Orefield, and Carol, wife of John Ashe of Durham, N.C., sisters-in-law; Susan, wife of Francis Reiss of Jacksonville, Fla., and Sara, wife of Dale Thierer of Emmaus; grandchildren Senior Airman Michael, Megan, Justin and Nicholas Grim and Tatiana and Katerina Yurconic; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, William R.
