The Shepherd of the Hills Youth Group Nut Roll Sale will begin on Sunday.
Place an order with a youth member at the church through Nov. 4. Nut rolls will be ready for pickup in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Your order may be picked up on Tuesday, Nov. 20, or on Sunday morning, Nov. 25, at the church in Egypt.
Made by Country Cottage, the nut roll flavors include nut, poppy, lekvar, apricot and seedless raspberry.
Also beginning Oct. 28 and continuing through Nov. 4, the youth group will be selling shoo fly pies from Wixon Bakery.
Pickup will be Saturday, Nov. 17, and Sunday, Nov. 18.

The youth group will be having a penny party on Sunday, Nov. 11. Doors will open at 1 p.m. and the fun will begin at 2 p.m.

The Egypt Community Church, 4129 S. Church St., Whitehall, will be having a concert of music and song by "The Dogs From Faulkner Swamp" on Sunday, Oct. 28, during the 10:30 a.m. service.
The public is invited to attend the concert. Bring some friends!

The next event at the Laurel Fire Company, Cementon, is the Thanksgiving Turkey Raffle on Nov. 4. It will take place from 2 to 6 p.m.
Refreshments and a meal will be included with each ticket purchased. Twenty turkeys will be given away. There will also be many other raffles during the day.

The firefighters have been water training throughout the summer and are constantly updating equipment, which makes the fundraisers and events so important.
Feel free to stop down to check out the equipment and get involved. Volunteers of all kinds are always welcome and appreciated at "the Laurel." If you would like to volunteer, please call the club at 610-262-2077.
Dec. 15 is Operation Santa and our Members' Kids' Christmas Party.
Members can sign up their children for the Christmas party starting now.
Anyone interested in having Santa deliver presents to their house on the morning of can drop off wrapped presents, complete with the child's name and address, anytime until Dec. 14.

The laurel fire company is having polka every first third and fourth Thursday of the month from 5 to 7 p.m.
Joe Weber and friends play a variety of old-time favorites as well as new tunes. Enjoy a meal from the fire company kitchen while you listen to the music.
