Violet M. Dietz, 90, of The Fairways at Brookside, Macungie, died October 18, 2012, in the Devon House, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Linford F. Dietz, who died on Feb. 15, 1996. Born in Hilltown Township, Bucks County, she was the daughter of the late Titus and Ida (Sell) Haberle.

She was an active member of Chestnut Hill Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and was a past president of the Women's Guild.

She was a cook in the Southern Lehigh School District for 18 years until retiring in 1984.

She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary in the Lower Milford Fire Company.

She is survived by daughters, Joyce L. Koder of Breinigsville and Linda M. and her husband Roger Erney of Center Valley; son, Kenneth L. and his wife Kim of Mt. Joy; brothers, Stanley, Victor, Robert and Earl; sisters, Gladys Hetrick and Evelyn Ohl; five grandchildren, Eric, Nicole, Heather, Joshua and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Megan, Tucker and Riley. She was predeceased by a brother, Bill Haberle.
